Why choose microcement?

Durable

Microcement can withstand daily use. It doesn't crack or scratch. No fading colours. It's also easy to clean and maintain.

Low Carbon Footprint

There is no wastage or harmful silica dust created from cutting tiles. Microcement is easy to transport, less bulky, and only leaves empty buckets. It doesn't release harmful chemicals.

Versatile

Microcement can be used on for interiors and exteriors, commerically and privately. In any room, floor or surface.

Waterproof

Microcement is totally waterproof, unlike grouting, which prevents mold. As it is one seamless surface, there is no opportunity for water damage or mold.

Endless Colour Palette

Microcement can be match to any colour palettes, from Benjamin Moore to Farrow and Ball. Easy to change colours by reapplying a new 2-3mm top coat.

Classic & Modern

Microcement's historical predecessor is Tadelakt which has been used for thousands of years and is the inspiration for Microcement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can microcement be applied over existing tiles?

Yes. One of the biggest advantages of microcement is that it can be applied directly over existing floor and wall tiles. This eliminates the noise, dust, and expense of demolition.

Is microcement suitable for underfloor heating?

Absolutely. Because it is applied thinly (2-3mm), it is an excellent conductor of heat, making it more efficient than thick stone or wood flooring.

Is it easy to clean?

Very. Without grout lines to trap dirt, maintaining a microcement surface simply requires warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner.

How long does installation take?

Due to the necessary curing times between coats, a standard room usually takes between 4 to 6 days from preparation to the final protective seal.

"I have worked in the building industry myself and I recently had my bathroom completely refurbished from walls, ceiling and floor. I purchased very high end products and wanted someone with a good level of expertise, having seen much shoddy work from other installers. I have to say Adam's work is carried out to perfection which cannot be faulted. He treats your work like his own and personal- no shortcuts are taken and he went above and beyond to get the correct finish. He is an honest and trustworthy man which is a rarity to find in this current climate."

"When we moved to our flat in Maidenhead our bathrooms needed refurbishing. When I came to the choice of tiles for the walls and the areas around the wash basins I mentioned to our designers how much I disliked the way that the grouting always got grubby looking, in spite of all my efforts to keep it clean. They suggested that we considered choosing microcement instead of tiling, and showed us some samples, including the colour charts to see the broad range of colours available. At first, I was a bit sceptical; how could something that looked so smooth, and blended with the paint we had chosen for the walls, be robust and long lasting? Marta explained that it consisted of 7 layers of an exceptionally fine cement-like substance, which built up into a surface which could be scrubbed, was waterproof and pretty much indestructible. We decided a give it a try, and one year later I can honestly say it looks as good as the day it was finished. We chose a pale grey colour to match our new bathroom suite, and I have kept it spotless just by giving it a weekly wipe down with a microfibre cloth. In fact, we are so pleased with it that for several months after it was finished whenever we had guests my first words were ‘come and have a look at our bathroom walls’, as the microcement was a novelty which we couldn’t help showing off!
